Clutter Awareness Week

At Bio-One , we see first hand that clutter and hoarding can overtake someone’s life. It may not happen quickly but over time, it starts to affect those living in that environment and everyone around them. The third week of march starts Clutter Awareness Week.

If you or someone you know is showing signs of clutter accumulation, now is the perfect time to sit down and talk about it. This may be a difficult subject as objects can become personal and emotional as we attach our memories to them. According to the American Psychiatric Association, “The worst thing to do is to volunteer to go in and throw things away for them or to go in and throw things away when they are not around.” Upsetting your loved one will only make things worse. Having a conversation and letting them know professionals can help work with them is the safest and easiest way to declutter a home.
